Town Office Closed to the Public

During this time of social distancing, the town has decided it is in the best interest of its employees to close the office to the public for the time being.  The office will still be staffed, so you can call and drop off payments in the dropbox.  If you require change, it will be added as a credit to your next water bill.  If you are a vendor needing assistance, please call Sherry at 736-9551.  Thank you for your understanding during this trying time.

Public Hearing for Proposed Comprehensive Plan in February

After many delays, a nearly finished Comprehensive Plan will be coming up for a vote following a public hearing at the Town Council meeting on Monday, February 10 at 7 p.m.  The Comprehensive Plan is important in guiding decisions made by the Council, and it should be revised every 5 years.  Thanks to the help of the Commonwealth Regional Council, the first major revision in over 20 years is nearly complete.  Follow this link to peruse the draft that will be introduced to the Town Council at their January meeting.  This is a very exciting development for the town and will help give direction to Council decisions, particularly those regarding land use.
